Photographer's Note
I think this is a lifeguard on Lake Atitlan from Panajachel side. Despite being very touristic, Panajachel is still a very authientic place and the native life seems to happen in paralel with all the commercial stuff. Having said that, the tourists are usually agening hippies. You have to take a few hour trip up and down mountain roads to get there, and when I went there it was just a couple of weeks after the mudslides all over the country which burried lots of people, sometimes - entire buses.I could see, that narrow roads were made even narrower, by closing the outside lanes, next to the drop, because the asphalt was hanging in the air with soil washed out clean from unedrneath it.
