Photographer’s Note
This is a repost of a picture I deleted because I was no longer satisfied with the result. I reposted it because I think it's one of my best made in Guatemala and it reflects the old and easy going character of Antigua very good. I like the light especially and in the first posting it was too bleak, too white.
Here you see the original picture (I wanted to show the otrher but something worked out differently) In teh workshop you'kll see the adjusted one.
I'll be gone for two weeks on holiday to France.
See you all soon.

The light on the cobble stones is very attractive. The "olde worlde" atmosphere is captured well with the horse and carriage going down the street. I think it would also work well compositionally in landscape format with the top cropped down to the top of the window grill on the right.
Enjoy France

Hi Gerrit,
In spite of the sky a little over exposed in the left superior corner, the composition is good, it has a POV with a great diagonal formed by the street, in contrast to the vertical lines of the facades, and you have caught the atmosphere of this old city with beautiful elements, like the old vehicle, and the paving stones of its pavement.
The presence of people adds vitality to him to the image.
Good work.

Josep

Hi Gerrit,
Fine street view of Antigua, in a nice light, with good colors and sharpness, vertical frame fitting the subject well.

Hola Gerrit.
Antigua is one of the most beautiful city in Center America, your shot is a good example of the beauty of the streets and old architecture.
Love the way you captured the stone street with the people walking by and the old carriage. Good work.
Well done. TFS.

Hi Gerrit, the atmosphere on this one is absolutely great, especially because of the lighting (the texture of the cobles of the street are beautiful), but also because of the architecture and transportations, as well as the people seen in there easy going, to re-phrase you. The perspective is excellent. I love it!

Ricardo

Hello Gerrit,
Your photo gives me a sense of the atmosphere (with the people, a horse-drawn carriage to the left?) and the character of Antigua (cobblestone road, buildings). I like it and glad you re-posted it!
Best regards to you in Holland.
José
