The majestic building of the Metropolitan Cathedral, which rises in the east of the current Constitution Square (Plaza Mayor), has a long history. This main Catholic Church not only of Guatemala City, but the entire Guatemala was built between 1782 and 1867. It has been countless events for over 200 years, including two major earthquakes.

Very good night photo. The cathedral is very well placed within the frame.

Hi Miro !!
only one photo from your trip to Guatemala ?????? I am glad that is a good one
2 sec exposure.... perfect as we can see some of the many details of the Cathedral
Lots of dark areas around the edges....... helps to highlight the subject.
Very nice work.
Cheers from Moss Vale.

Good morning Miro,
Guatemala not presented much on TE, so your contribution is unique.
Impressive night scene over the Cathedral, well illuminated and contrast to the black sky above.
Fine 2 sec. exp. collected.
Have a nice day,

The wideness of the area is giving depth to the composition. Using a shutter speed of 2 seconds and probably a support is allowing me to see the details and colors of the cathedral. It has also a special effect on the colors. Have a nice day.
