Photographer's Note

Antigua was the capital of Guatemala until it was seriously damaged by an earthquake, however, architecture is one of the many reasons to visit this antique city. Most buildings have a beautiful Spanish Hacienda look, mixed with the old ruins, from before the earthquake.

We where there many times when cruising the Caribbean waters. This was on our first trip in 1991

At that time I was using a Canon AE1 with some cheap lenses and Kodak negative film that resulted in poor image quality, but in this case I kind of like the grainy appearance to create a mood.

It was scanned on an Epson V750 scanner.
