Photographer’s Note

Another image of the market in front of the Santo Tomas Church in the centre of Chichicastenango.
I love that image for many reason, the colors, the "perfect" caos of the Central America's Markets, but i every time loved the image of that guy completely dressed in white, with that cow-boy hat and sunglasses! he was a tourist, probably for North America, and he wasn't part of that life moment; is an observer, he was looking the Guatemala's people, and from the high of the church entrace it seems as a God that controlled his sons...

...mmmh...i drinked too many beers that afternoon....

It looks chaotic and very busy, it is colorful as well and your framing is appropriate for this view, the star sign attracts my eye, is there written "vote" ?

Hi Paolo! There are so many activities on going in the area! It's a good daily life shot, and your POV surely shows us what it's like to be there. IMHO, you included too much of the sky. Great work and thanks for sharing! rgds.

I really like all the activity shown in this photo, everyone is doing something different. Great combination of colours.
I would corp a bit of the sky off to concentrate on the details below.

Seems a bit chaotic this market, still a good presentation with all the details included. I like the posing of the mani white with the backpack to the left - overlooking it all..

My eyes went right to that guy in the white hat, Paolo! I also love the chaos here, which is well composed in your photo. The sky is very bright, perhaps some burning would help? Nice work.

very nice scena Paolo, a bit chaotic, but I guess the place was chaotic as well. that tourist in white adds so much to the scene, he is like from another story, trying to understand what is going on there.. good stuff

Paolo, this is a scene from some great EPIC movie..I can hear the music now! I like the benerous amount of sky you have chosen to leave. It gives the whole thing scale somehow and squashes the humans below a little more. The mysterious sunglass-wearing man in white with the straw hat at the extreme left makes an enormous difference. he brings the NEXT scene to life...

Yes, he really looks like an alien there… In fact this image looks like a scene of a movie because of him. Nice chaotic scene full of interesting detail and life. Still, the contrasts could be softened as the dark parts hide a lot of details and the clouds are a bit too bright. I guess this is a consequence of the scanning.
