A shot of the famous Market from the Stairs of the Chichicastenengo Church.
Chichicastenango is a village of the region of Quiché in Guatemala. Its very livened up market, for which the People of the region come by far, takes place on Thursday and Sundays. The quichés of the region come down from their mountains to sell some corn, beans, to buy a hen or a little meat. Besides the traditional market of foods and objects of the everyday life, there is a market of small business colored crafts with a lot of masks and statuettes.

Nice note and interesting photo. One has to wonder what these are used for and what has inspired the artisan. I think I would have cropped the photo a bit more so that the people on the left and the church and shelters were not included. These are great masks which deserve all of our attention. This is a good photo.

Olá Vincent, fantastic display but there's too much offer here ;-) I love masks and for what I see, I couldn't choose just one...Excellent framing, wonderful pattern. Good that you left space around for context. I like to see local people giving life to the artwork.

your gallery is full with fine and interesting pictures from all over the world which bring us the perfume of those distant places... and this one is a good example, showing a very characteristic market and an incredible collection of masks!
Quite well framed and captured, colourful and rich in details.
