Photographer’s Note
These small boats are used to transpot locals and tourists between Flores and the village on the other side.
There was a storm coming, so the colors were just amazing. The sky turned suddenly dark blue but the sun was still shinning... just lovely!
About 10 minutes after this shot was taken, the rain started pouring down. As smart as we were, we took a boat in the mean time, so we were on the other side when the storm was at its peak, with no place to hide from the rain. A friendly local man took us in his house but we still managed to get soaking wet prior to that. It was very weird 30 minuttes, sitting in the living room of a stranger, not being able to have any real conversation, staring at each other and photos of his children :) But still an unforgettable experience! :D
