Blue House - Gouyave, known to many as the town that never sleeps, or action city got its name from the English queen, married to King George III, Queen Charlotte. Today you can still hear people refer to Gouyave as Charlotte town. During the French control of the island the town's name was changed to Gouyave because of the vast amount of Guava trees that was growing at the time.

Hello Achim,
very well captured and nicely composed shot from a good pov with nice perspective, good lighting and well saturated colours.
Tfs and best wishes!
Attila

A nice simple and strong composition, with a dramatic use of colour contrast. The position and pose of the woman are just right. Is she selling something? It looks like she is. Regards Kevin

Hi Achim,
it is a fantastic blue. And the woman with the blue shirt is a marvelous detail. Was she selling something because of the plastic bags?
Regards Ulf
PS: I read critiques from others after I found my impression. So same question as others..

There is something very appealing about this photo that I can't quite put my finger on. Definitely the beautiful blue of the house stands out, but there is something else... Anyway, it's very, very nice!
Sarah
