Annadale Falls, a photo from Saint George, South

Photographer's Note

On a van tour, we had a very erudite and politically experienced guide who had been educated in East Germany. Surprisingly, he was very much in favor of Reagan's invasion. He said the Grenadian Prime Minister Maurice Bishop, who was executed in the coup, was the best thing that ever happened to Grenada. Apparently there were enough people in Grenada who were in favor of the US intervention that the day of the US invasion is a national holiday called Thanksgiving day. The invasion was criticized by the United Kingdom, Canada and the United Nations General Assembly, which condemned it as "a flagrant violation of international law".

Aside from the sights and the guide, the other entertainment on the the drive was the small girl I posted on Good Mood Day.

Annandale Falls are near the village of Constantine, about four miles northeast of St. George's. The grounds of the falls are a well-groomed park-like setting with lots of tropical flowers. You can swim in the pool at the base of the falls. When we arrived, locals were there hoping to earn tips by diving from the surrounding rocks into the pool. Having cared for many people with broken necks, both in ER and as they were coming to terms with their loss; I couldn't be a party to this so I walked downstream until the exhibition was over.

Hello Pat, Haven't seen many of your pictures lately. Great shot here of a place that I have never visited. Beautiful water surging down to the stunning green pool. Lovely nature scene. This is an extremely beautiful and exotic view indeed. The light and colors are so good here. Such an incredible atmosphere can be seen only in a good painting. This fantastic scene is perfectly composed and very skillfully captured. Thanks for the so nice image and interesting note!

I like the vertical format that enhances the depth of this canyon. There is also a repeating pattern of sorts between the falls and the roots hanging down. It is a pretty spot and the light was really well handled considering it must have been somewhat challenging.

This place looks like a rainforest to me. Very fresh. Little waterfall is well placed. Nice variety of different shades of green. Interesting to see how much nature differs from one Caribbean island to another.

A picturesque scene with a touch of tropical mystery!
I assume it is refreshing to reach a place like this, and i notice the fertility of the landscape with a wide variety of vegetation...
A fine framing of the scene - the rich colours are nicely reproduced and the view has a stunning feeling of depth..!

Somehow I missed this splendid vertical presentation.
At first I thought this was a bit tropical of Calif. until I read your very interesting note.
Anyway these lush green viens that frame the tiny falls are fantastic and the turquoise pool at the bottom mush inviting
