Carenage, a photo from Saint George, South

Photographer's Note

Harbour of St. George's called Carenage. Wharf Road runs along the harbor offering good views of the area and activities taking place along the docks. The landlocked inner harbor is actually the deep crater of a long-dead volcano.

What is Grenada? First you are thinking about Rum and Spices. But second you will find friendly people sharing with you the culture of their island. Third an impressive landscape.

What is Grenada for me? Firstly, this is the place of A Breaking News of 1983. When US army landed here and fighted with local communist govermant.

A fine perspective on this very attractive town. Beautiful light and natural tones and superb sharpness. The ripples in the waters of the harbour help draw the eyes across to the architecture. Very pleasing image.

This is a nicely composed shot of this lake side town. The angle of the shot is nice giving the photo a sense of depth and direction. The lighting and colors are great as is the photo's sharpness. The fine blue sky provides a great backdrop for the shot.

I spent a week in St George in 78, before finding a boat that took me to Trinidad... and this reminds me good memorties! Nice high POV and good colors and general quality... Using frames always brings the danger of picture removal!
