Day 69: Perquin, El Salvador
Perquin is a small village north-east of El Salvador, close to the border of Honduras. This was one of the most important strongholds of rebel forces during Salvadorian civil war 1979-1991 and they have an excellent museum dedicated to their battles. Nowadays area is peaceful and people are extremely friendly. Perquin’s remote location means it doesn’t get too many visitors thus locals gave me a very warm welcome. Miguel and Eduardo wanted to know more about me and were happy to pose for my stories :)

Dia 69: Perquín, El Salvador
Perquín es un pueblo pequeño noroeste de El Salvador, cerca a la frontera de Honduras. Esta pueblo era uno de los lugares más importantes para las rebeldes durante la guerra civil 1979-1991. Tienen un museo excelente dedicado a sus batallas. Hoy es un área pacífica, y la gente es extremadamente amable. No mucha gente visita Perquín debido a su posición remota. La gente local me dio una recepción muy caliente. Miguel y Eduardo desearon saber este visitante extranjero mejor y ellos quisieran que tomara las fotos de ellas :)
