I really don't understand what you are trying to say here.

What kind of crime?

Robbery?
Hit and Run?
Carjacking?

This photograph tells us nothing at all....and neither do your notes. It would be nice to see this posted at 800 pixels wide as well.

Welcome to TE.

Great Job.
Aloha, JB

Sorry Ryan, but this is not a particularly strong start to your travels here on TE.

This photo fails in the news/photojournalistic sense as it tells us nothing of the particular crime that may have happened. It fails to pull at our 'heart-strings' as there is no human element to be seen -- yes, yes, i know what you thinking-- 'but its human blood!?'. yes, but we need a reference to the tragedy that unfolded.

I understand that this is not suppose to be 'artsy', no one in their right mind would think that, nor is it what zips was trying to say. Sorry that you woke up to a gang related crime scene on your door-step, but you know, everyone here on TE has been affected in a similar way in our own neighbourhoods wherever we are living here on earth. To post some blood soaked gauze muddled in dirt could never be considered art here on TE(unless your a ultra-modern avante-garde idiot), but it cant be consider journalistic either.

Truthfully(and especially without a note to explain your reasons for posting), it means nothing to the viewer; its simply a crude, compositionally lacking, personal story impaired, untasteful photo of blood soaked gauze.....thats it.

I am sorry if you take my comments as cold and compassionless, thats not what I meant to convey.

take care,
steve

I dont understand? Is that blood? water? soda? at this point it could be anything make the colors brighter and typ more of a discription.
