Lovely face... Photo

Photographer’s Note

This summer I was in 3 countries: El Salvador (in a ONG), Guatemala and Mexico.

The experience was...impressive. But I'm tired of it. Really, really tired. I think I'll need another hollidays to rest hahahahahaha.

About the picture...I took it in El Salvador. She was one of the girls I worked with and, after several tries, I got this picture.

hmmm.... I'd say, it's an original capture and a bit unusual "portrait" (or semi-portrait??) :) But it "works"! I like it! and in the girl's eye we can see the photographer ;) the whole world, actually... if we look more attentively.

Hi Oscar!

Welcome back!

I was suppose to go to bed, but your photo is too gorgeous for me not to offer you my congratulations before hitting the pillow.

Not only have you done a great portrait, but you've done it outside your usual approach, which is remarkable. The citrus green bokehed background looks terrific with the skin tone. But this eyeball is screaming for attention and this is what we are captivated by first.

Opening that wide left you with a very thin DOF, but you got yourself some superb sharpness right where needed.

Now please, don't steal my "Mr. Portrait" nickname... I will have to shoot flowers or cats... :-P)

WoW!
Powerful close up! Reminds me of one of those famous photos by "manny". The result is so "deep into the eye" that, it can even be considered as a self-portrait!
Tired of travelling? Man! You sound like an old veteran :))

aiii... sí... la foto... pues... una passada, ja t'ho vaig dir, té tot: la combinació de colors, el detall de l'ull, la tristor de l'ull, i la idea de fotografiar-ho! Per ara... i per a mi... una de les millors fotos que has fet...

Amazing sharpness on the eye the focal point of the shot and perfect use of dof for the rest. The green makes a great background. Love the partial framing of the face making for an interesting portrait.

benvingut de nou. Tot s'acaba.....
Això de ser solidari és el que té, que cansa molt i sembla que no hagis fet vacances. És encomiable, però jo ja sóc una mica gran i prefereixo viatjar per descansar i ralaxar-me.
M'agrada molt aquesta maca foto, l'enquadrament parcial sobre aquesta cara encisadora i el detall del seu ull amb el reflexe del fotògraf a l'iris. Brutal, com tu mateix diries!!
