Changing from the Vision of New York series, this one was taken back in the Dominican Rep.

'El Puesto', means the point and it is how dominican refer to the point of sales by the side of the highway. At this place around noon, you can buy your meal of Pig on the Stick, which rotisserie pig. It is delicious... but for those not Dominicans it can be a serious hazard to your health.

Bonjour Enrique,

I am sure the food is delicious :)
We use to sell cheese and honey and ...tuica ( some traditional whisky made by plums ):)))
Nice to share our customs here on TE
Here in your image I like this strong and well contrasted b&W
The car there ...maybe the driver is waiting to come someone to buy something :)
Hugs

Hello Enrique,
this is a beautiful black and white, very well contrasted and with the beautiful view given by the wide angle. Quality is excellent throughout with well visible details. I like it.
Thanks for sharing it and regards,

Igor

Is this just a B&W picture or did you use an IR filter too? I am finding the whites too strong and quite distracting. However, I like the composition and the contrast between the old shack and the modern car and road.

An amazing B&W road image with the wooden ruin stand..
Good contrast..
Good light..

Buenas!

Enrique went Ansel and I love every bit of it...

Yosemite... Dominicana...
What's the difference if you know your idea...
If you have an ambitions to show something differently...

Enrique - this is the first time in my life I see something smart coming (photographically speaking - that is) out of Dominican Republic !!!

Good for you, buddy pal.
Keep kicking strongly...Please !!!

..........

And I've seen some smart things around... :-))

Hi Enrique,
Looks like an IR photo. Bright and with good tones and contrast. I like your composition. Interesting to read about your Note. Greetings! Danilo

Hola Enrique...

Hello Enrique,
I like the strong contrast and the balck and white. Good scene taken.
Best regards,
Fabrice

Hi Enrique. Nice photo. I love the BW treatment. Well composed and thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hola Enrique my friend,
after the urban serie from New York a great Jump in to a complety different world, I love your choiche of B&W here, composition is, as always, at the top.
A first class work, compliments!!!

have a nice week,
Fabio.

Hola Enrique!

Madre mia, que maravilla de foto, amigo!!! Parece come IF! Felicidades!

Un saludo,
Hercules

What a contrast with your New York work. The IR filter has resulted in an image with a lot of impact. Good idea to include the road on the left to emphasise the fact of this being a road-side stall. It sounds like I would have to give the Pig-on-a-stick a miss. :)

This marvel in b/w is so well compsoed. I like the pov and the way you have used the lights and textures. great work indeed.

Hola amic Enrique,
Josep y Pili

Hi Enrique,
I'm very busy at work right know but try to catch up during the weekends and scroll fast through the pages hunting for some good ones ;-)
Here it looks like an infrared picture with high contrast and a very interesting pov with the old hut on the right and the passing car on the left. I like this kind of work and shows your diversity in taking pictures from NY and from the countryside like this one...great.
Have a great weekend, Henk

Bonsoir,

Philippe

Hi Enrique, I love the old shack, B/W was the perfect medium, brilliant texture & light, beautifully composed, TFS, kind regards Wilson.
