This vendor of boiled sweet corn is one of the army of people in the Dominican Republic that eke out a living selling from a location on the street or from a cart or bicycle. It is hard to see how they make much money, but they aren't begging and they clearly have pride.
Corn (maiz, in Spanish) is popular in the Dominican Republic so this fellow no doubt makes sales. He sold none while I was watching, but being on wheels it was easy for him to move to what he thought would be a better location. |

Ahh so very tasty!
A nice photo of daily life Ken, full of colour and people out relaxing.
I just love the ingenuity of people in the Caribbean, you get ice cream, soda and of course barbeque corn sellers all operating from their transformed bicycles :) I guess this guy will need to put his chain back on though before he pedals off to the next stop!
