IGLESIA FRENTE AL PARQUE DE LA ROMANA, REPUBLICA DOMINICANA

La Romana es la principal ciudad del Este del país. Son poco más de 100.000 habitantes los que viven en ella. Fué fundada por los españoles a utilizar como puerto comercial de exportación. La empresa estadounidense Gulf & Western ha tenido que ver mucho con la actividad comercialy financiera de la ciudad ya que invirtió en 1920 en la industria azucarera de la zona siendo hoy día la mayor refinería de azúcar del país : La Central de La Romana.
