Photographer’s Note
The cigar makers in the Dominican Republic are like rock stars -- at least the bigger, more successful ones. I was in Santo Domingo and saw a lot of shops and had visualized the kind of image I wanted -- a straight-on portrait of a well-heeled seller standing in front of his product. When I saw this guy I knew I found my photo. I bounced a softened flash at one-third output, and the amber glow of all the tobacco just gave it an especially warm tone...like a warming filter.

Hi Ted, excellent portrait of the dominican salesman. He has all the right elements to identify him as a man of the trade: the cigar, the shirt, etc. The light also is very good.
Cheers,

Excellent composition. Great colours and contrast between white and brown. You have captured perfectly the way of living of this people (cigar, shirt, hat, golden clock and necklace,...)
Congratulations!!!
