Photographer’s Note
Cabarete, Dominican Republic, is truly a kitesurfers' paradise. Because of its consistent wind during the winter, kitesurfers from many countries come to Cabarete each winter to train and prepare for the summer competition in their own countries.

hey Ken,
your picture and note are very interesting, straight to the point. It makes me want to know more about Cabarete, and even want to go and shoot there.
However, about the picture, I think you strongly overdid the post-processing. You increased contrasts and sharpening to a point where the picture is unreadable...no subtility in the color tones. Obviously, the framing and compo are very good, however, your post-processing guarantee a no-no from me.
Don't get me wrong, I'm in favor of processing pictures, however, I think it has to be done in such a way that it is invisible, subtle.
sorry,

something is off with the definition in the background (i suspect, some PP exaggeration): but the scene is sure quite funny and unusual: seeing all those kites... at first, i was not even sure what i was looking at. interesting.
cheers,

A little bit to sharp, but a very intersting picture.
Best wishes,
