Photographer’s Note
View of the valley of Yaque del Norte, the longest river in Dominican Republic. Shot near the road from Jarabacoa to Manabao.
Location (latitude, longitude): 19.07611,-70.71345 (I am not sure about the accuracy, but my guess is that the error isn't higher than 6 Kms / 4 miles)

F

Jose,
you really did the anti-tourisitic vacation at DR. The countryside landscape is something very different form the iconic beachscapes that we usually get to see at TE with some exception in Emile's galery. I spend one day to go to the inner part of the island and I got stimulated to post is soon after seeing your DR countryside shots.

I like to see some offside places as I had no real idea about a typical landscape outside the beaches. This valley is refreshing, I had expected it somewhere else in the world but not there. The capture is clear and sharp, the small river with the curve lovely. I must ask for something to catch the eye, this is a bit what I miss here as nearly everything has this lovely green and you managed it great to keep all natural contrasts. A bit moore from the grey rocks in front, I don't know.

What a rich variety of greens you have in this scene. You also have many opposing diagonals which always works well for the dynamics of an image. Your POV is good looking down on the river, which begins to lead the eye into the frame. Well done

Hi Jose,
good view over this fine landscape. The composition with the river visible in the bend is very good.

Uns verdes belissimos Jose !

Hola Jose.

Hola Jose.
Me encanta cómo has captado el rio.
