Tribute to Galmeida Photo

This is my humble tribute to Galmeida (Fernando Guedes Almeida), who passed away on Sunday.

I like to think that Fernando still keeps the love he had for Earth, that he has his cameras and is shooting with the same passion whenever he is right now.

I believe a person like Fernando cannot die forever. And won't stop shooting good pictures. If there's a TrekHeaven, I'm pretty sure he already made his first contributions over there.

May his soul be happy!

This picture was taken at Cathedral of La Vega. Many pigeons gather in one of the corners to do that "pigeon chit-chat". Suddenly, one of them flies away, maybe looking for a new horizon to make the rest of its life.

Just like Fernando did.

Dario, excelente fotografia con un buen tema trabajado. El contraste es muy bueno y tambien el enfoque esta correcto.

Your contribution to the memory of Fernando is very fitting.
Though one may fly away, there will always be others left and those left will always remember the one who flew away.

This photo reminds me of the funeral of an old classmate of mine. Her brother was a giving a worthy speach, he said: "We all loved you, but you decided to flyt away from us..."

She comitted suicide by jumping a 600 meter cliff.
She became 18 years.
May both she and Fernado find eternal peace...
