I suspect it’s a different stern from the one I already presented you few weeks ago. This one was taken in the same area : Los Haitises parc, north west of the Domincan Republic in a wonderful Mangrove ecosystem full of superb trees, plants and birds.
This cute bird seems to be monitoring around in any sign of alert, no ?
I recropped the original picture taken at hand, full 420mm from a boat. No need to say I’m quite pleased that the blur is not too obvious at shooting under such conditions.

Celui de gauche à la calvitie de mon grand père :-)
Chapeau por cette photo vu les conditions difficiles de prise de vue "tanguantes", surtout pour une main levée au 420 mm.

It has the look of a Caspian Tern a large tern with a very red bill and a block cap on the head. I like the pose and the perch too. A bit of fill flash would have given you a highlight in the eye.

Lovely birds Steven! Love their standing and your composition is wonderful by not centering them and letting some space around them. Good shot :)

Great composition and sharpness! I would have just clone the sky to erase the thing that distract at the lower right corner.
