I Saw From the Beach

I saw from the beach, when the morning was shining,
A bark o'er the waters move gloriously on;
I came when the sun o'er that beach was declining --
The bark was still there, but the waters were gone!

And such is the fate of life's early promise,
So passing the spring-tide of joy we have known:
Each wave that we danc'd on at morning, ebbs from us,
And leaves us, at eve, on the bleak shore alone!

Ne'er tell me of glories serenely adorning
The close of our day, the calm eve of our night;
Give me back, give me back the wild freshness of Morning,
Her clouds and her tears are worth Evening's best light.

Oh, who would not welcome that moment's returning,
When passion first wak'd a new life through his frame;
And his soul, like the wood that grows precious in burning,
Gave out all its sweets to love's exquisite flame!

very dramatic capture of the sky in good colours. I like the vastness of the reddish beach.
well presented in an attractive view with a neat and well festured beach.

Wonderful vertical composition, nice POV with this beach of reddish sands, the group of palms puts his tropical decoration and the nice sky complements the image of very attractive form.

interesting lighting, i like the overall touch of pink and rose in the clouds, along with the blue sky.
has a very romantic atmosphere.
i'm not so sure about the midway point of the horizon...there's no hard rule but typically horizons are kept at the 1/3 level.. but hey..i've broken that rule myself several times too! :)

As indicates us your user name, you love summer, and in consequence, you had to enjoy the tropical climate in the Dominican Republic in December.
As me, because I was there three weeks before.
The sight of the beach under the wonderful light of the sunset, the coco-palms, the sky and the clouds, with these warm hues, create a really attractive image at sight.
In addition, it evokes me great memories.
