Indianer Jones Bridge in the Rain Forest near Saint Paul

The venue is situated on the slopes of a mountain on the leeward side of the island above the village of Laudat, in a secondary forest with very diverse flora and bird life, some of which are unique to Dominica. The tram is located about half an hour (30 minutes) from the harbor of Ro-seau.
The Rain Forest Aerial Tram is comprised of 22 gondolas, each holding 8 passengers plus a naturalist guide, who has the expertise not only on the general history of Dominica but also on the very unique flora and fauna that is seen as you travel on the tram. All the safety features necessary to make the ride safe and your experience unforgettable have been carefully thought out and designed.
The canopy ride takes 90 minutes through and over the treetops, admiring the wonderful ver-dure of the forest while gazing at the diverse bird life. On a clear day, on the way back to the boarding station, you have an endless view of the lush forests and hills of Dominica as well as the azure sea beyond. We also have the Chatannier Nature Trail that winds up through the for-est so you can admire the diverse plants with palm like fronds, and the root structure of many trees. This trail leads along various small bridges over streams to a unique suspension bridge, which was built to traverse a 300 ft. (7.5m) gorge.
This new attraction on the island of Dominica will fulfill your dream for a few wonderful hours communing with nature to observe a unique Caribbean rainforest on a very comfortable and ef-fortless ride at a site, which registers almost 300 inches (8.5m) of rain per year.

Hi Achim,

This image remind me a bit of the place where I grew up. Very nice tropical forest. The colours so well saturated due to the amount of rain. Good perspective and the bridge add a nice element to the view. Cheers :-)

hello Achim,
nice shot of this jungle with the eye catcher of the Indianer Jones bridge.I like the marvellous Composition with the POV that someone breathless with admiration looking the nature.I think that is a great experience to cross someone this air bridge.The Aerial Tram must be the greatest experience of Dominica. Well done.

I like the composition and the verdant green tones also the hint of mist over the mountain top. The bridge provides an additional item of interest. Excellent clarity.

Hi Achim,

The point of view leads our eyes toward the bridge and to the mountain in the background. The different types of lines of the rainforest are assets to the composition. The light is giving a good ciontrast to the colors. The light fog or low clouds in the background is giving a mysterious effect to the picture. Have a nice day.

Hallo Achim. So stellt man sich den Regenwald vor. Grün soweit das Auge reicht, exotische Pflanzen und Bäume, nebelverhangene Bergkuppen usw. Hier wird das Ganze gekrönt durch eine Hängebrücke. Ein schönes und sehenswertes Photo. Viele Grüße, Wolfgang.

I like the humid environment that gives us the fog in the mountains and the spectacular tropical vegetation, in an elegant and organized well composition.

Sometimes, too much green, too many trees are difficult to compose a great image, however, you have well succeeded in this one by composing with the abyss, the bridge and very detailed plants (sharpness and textures), so we can notice the variety of plants that exist in that place!

Salut Achim!
Super beau paysage et belle végétation luxuriante. Quand j'ai lu "Rain Forest", je croyais que c'était au Costa Rica, il y a "Rain Forest" aussi la-bas où il pleut presque à tous les jours et la végétation est semblable. J'aime bien la passerelle qui traverse la vallée et la montagne derrière dont le cime se perd dans la brume. Excellente qualité d'image, bon rendu des tons de vert et intéressante note.
