Photographer’s Note
Roseau is the capital of Dominica, a nation that gained independence from Great Britain in 1978. Roseau is also the main port where cruise ships enter the island, hence many street stands of toursit items can be found. In this photo, the vendor was selling brightly colored dresses. The port is also busy with shipping boats, around 2,500 tons of shipping occurs annually through Roseau.
