Photographer’s Note

This was taken as I was leaving Dominica. It was past sunset at about 8:20 PM. The ship slowly moved away from the dock so I took my last shot of this lovely island. There was still some glow from the sun but it was below the horizon already.

PP Work: Adjust levels control; Adjust saturation; Sharpen; Convert to black and white; Crop; Frame; Reduce image size for upload.

Hi Andre,
Well composed in the B&W format. I like the dark clouds interspersed with the lighter layers. The shine on the water enhances without overwhelming the eye. I might have cropped just a little on the right to reduce the heavy dark area. Overall, a very successful capture. Well done.
