Photographer’s Note
At the brook level, at the bottom of Emerald Falls, the brook rushes and ripples down rocks, flowing down to the river inside the preserved rain forest park. It is very hard to walk along the brook level because of the moss covered rocks. There are areas where there are wood bridges for crossing the brook but everything else is rough terrain. It is not an advisable tour for the physically handicapped and senior people who have a hard time walking.
I used a slow shutter speed to make the flow of water fluffy. Why do most photographers do that? Why not just freeze the movement of water instead of blurring it? Is it prettier? It is not natural!

Hallo André!
I like this picture very much because of it's really natural colours and the scenery as well. You show us a tiny microcosm with the most precious substance of our planet: clean water.
In the future there will be a lot of trouble about it!
Greetings from Germany!

Hi Andre. The lush colors and the rather balanced framing between the rocky and water elements are well done on this one. I have written in some of my critiques on TE that the veil effect on waterfalls tends to bore me to tears (as it is one of the most overdone clichés in nature photography), but on the other hand I admit that of course I also tried it a few times and in daylight it is actually not always easy to produce - to that respect, you fared well on this photo.

Hi Andre
A strong isolated detail compo of nature where the stones form a natural textured good border to this waterfall of the brook with the good long exposer to get that soft movement blur contrast to the hard stone.

Love the effect of the water thanks to your 4 second exposure. I've never experimented like this and think it's time I did, because I'm impressed with the results here. It's a lovely compo - the stones frame it. I like the colours too.
All the best
Mark
