Photographer’s Note

This is the small but attractive falls called Emerald Falls. To get there we travelled along the west coast main road and turned inland up the Imperial Road, through the Antrim Valley and to the Emerald Falls and Pool, one of the island's beautiful waterfalls within the rainforest of the Morne Trois Piton National Park. During a 15-minute downhill walk to the Emerald Pool, so called because it reflects the greenery of the surrounding vegetation, the guides were explaining about the rainforest and the wildlife within. At the bottom of the mountain it was dark. The sun hardly can get through the big and tall trees. It was also ver damp. My lens and eyeglasses fogged up. Nobody went swimming because the water is cold.

I took this picture of the falls with the pretty woman who climbed up the side slowly pushing her way up the wet and slippery stones. She did not even listen to the guides who have been asking her not to. I took another picture, a colored one, again with another woman up the rocks. See my WORKSHOP. It looks like teen-age girls are more intrepid than teen-age boys or should I say more into photography?
