Photographer’s Note
This is a shot of an unusual sunset in Roseau, the capital of Dominica. I posted this photo because I see it as somewhat of an oddity. The pink clouds were not pink to the eye, but when I turned the circular polarizer, they became this brilliant pink while the other clouds stayed white. This has never happened to me before and I can only theorize that it occurred because the clouds are at different elevations and the upper ones were still in the light of the setting sun.

Hello Daniel,
"A symphony of colors!" as van Gogh wrote to his brother, Theo, about the painter Jules Dupré. That is the only way to discribe the wonderful image you have produced here. The sea, however, may be slightly 'unlevel," I cannot really tell. At first pale, it looks like you might have to rotate it 3-4° counterclockwise to make it level. You might want to try it out in Photoshop. That problem notwithstanding, it is a beautifully inviting scene.

Hello Daniel,
The sky is truly amazing in this photo, and the polarizing effect is something I had not heard before. I suppose you handheld here, which is equally amazing because the image looks very sharp for 1/8 sec. Very well done!
Best wishes,
Hakan
