Photographer’s Note

This is the view from our apartment on the north end of Dominica, at a lodge called Ocean View Apartments....Fitting name, the Atlantic was beautiful if not a little rough. The north part of Dominica was very sparsely inhabited and the roads are very rough, but if rugged natural beauty is your game, the island is a dream come true. I would have liked to have taken this shot a little lower, but physics simply did not allow it. This shot has been processed in Capture NX, sharpened, with one CC point, cropped, and aligned.

Hi Dan,

I like natural frames, especially when there really is something to frame. And indeed the view you've presented is magnificent. By the same token, have you noticed that the most beautiful natural places on earth, are not the places that great science and philosophy have flourished, with the exception of Ancient Greece! Beautifully composed shot, presented with sharp detail.
