This is Punta Perdiz on the south side of Cuba; some 200 km SE of Havana. Click on the picture for the large version. See the link at the bottom of the note for the exact location.
We did our diving here. It is an excellent diving location for beginners (like me). The water is very clear and warm and you can step right in 'till your knees. Fantastic coral and lots and lots and LOTS of fishies! I asked a Norwegian couple how this location was compared to other locations (they were experienced and dove all around the world). They told us it was very alive, active and clean.
The trip was organized by Playa Girón Scuba Diving Center. My diving experience is very little but I felt confident with these guys. Very professional all around. It looked like they knew what they were doing and the equipement looked very good and new. Even if you do not have a license, you can do a course there or go snorkeling. Definitely one of the highlights of my stay in Cuba.

Beautiful colourful panorama! The stitching is very precise!
Diving must be very interesting, I haven't had the chance to try it, but must be very exciting. :)
Oh and I can see a sign in the the middle... No diving? Did you go a bit further? :)

nice to hear from you again.
It seems that stitchings of sceneries are a speciality of your photos. The panoramic view is always very special. I never did stitchings from my scanned slides. Are there some advices you can give how it works to stitch several shots? I am adicted to ultra wide views with my 17mm lens...so it will be even more interesting for me to do panoramic shots (but I guess the distortion of lines caused by a wide angle lens will be too strong to do proper stitchings)
I have seen you are using now Kaesemann polarizers, if I remember right you asked me once about the polarizers.
By the way, congratulations to your 100th picture on TE.
