This is what/who you daily will meet at the streets of Havana; old men selling THE Cuban newspaper "Granma". Named after the boat in which Fidel Castro started his revolution about 50 years ago.

In todays issue: Fidel is recovering from his illness ...........

Hi An
I like the man sellling his newspaper there. Great shot and good use of DOF and POV.
Thanks for sharing
greetings
Albreht

I guess this photo answer the question, but I think "Granma" is not the most objetive source. Nontheless I love this seller, his expresion and his cuban mood. Among your best An. Vamos bien aquí también.

A lovely portrait of this old man smoking cigars and showing us a copy of the journal he would like to sell. I like the expression on his face.
Good composition with the blurred building in the background.
Thanks for sharing.

hi an,
exceptional work - love this pose, and the man, he seems to be so confident with you, and so much engaged in the political affairs of his country,
and that cigar...
love it,
j.

An , this shot is beautiful.
The wrinkles on his face tell whole of the story.

loe, excellent title, I like the way you framed the image, and the seductive attitude of the seller with his cigar.

Hola An:
Una foto muy buena y muy inteligente, por el mensaje y por la composición con el hombre en la parte izquierda.
Perfecta nitidez y actitud del vendedor.
Realmente una foto muy expresiva y con mucha sustancia.
Un saludo: Javi

An,
I love how he is half mugging for the camera and half still trying to get you to buy a paper. Nicelyt done here with the OOF background and subject and his newspaper in nice focus. Good to be able to read the headlines
Cheers
Mark

Jejejeje, el titulo es muy apropiado. Linda foto, con buen detalla e iluminacion.
Saludos,
daniel

Nice to see you back, An, with some fresh Cuban stuff. This is so expressive, the pose of the man primarily is making for this effect, and I like all the whites here. Very good shot.

Cheers
Alexander

Ha daar is ons An weer?
Blij om weer eens een foto van jou te zien en wat voor een? Mooie scherptediepte en interessant onderwerp. Knappe foto!
Groetjes

Hello An,
This is a great shot, I like the mans gesture, the shallow DOF works really well and composition itself really good.
Regards,
Iris

Hello An
Very nice expression in his face, nice inclusion of the newspaper here,
very very interesting. Specially the difference of perception, I had read that it seems he has terminal cancer.
Regards
Daniel

Tremendous shot, An,
excellent moment, wonderful expression, and very timely news, whether objective or not. The atmosphere, that Cuban feel is fascinating. The man looks like a real character!
take care,
sasa

you are a portrait master - amazingly well composed and enlighten! TFS - Tomasz

Hello An,
this is a great street picture,
the colors are perfect but i think that your pic would be even better and stronger in BW.
the attitude of the old man is very interessting and the composition very effective ,the DOF is also well measured.

the facial expression of this old man that u captured here is simply great!

Hi An,
I discovered your Cuba series, and am fascinated by the color treatment in your photos, which works so well: saturated, strong color. Here you don't have much color, yet the photo is just as strong. Great DOF and nice portrait of this guy, cigar and all.
