| This young girl was walking home from school with a couple of her friends and a lady who may have been her mother. I asked if I could take her photo and they readily agreed. It's great to meet and photograph such nice kids in Havana. |

Glad you finally made it to Cuba, Todd. One of your trademark portrait, letting the moment and subject speak for itself, a choice emphasized by the B&W. her stance, looking up, adds to the compo, as usually, with children we tend to bend our knees and shoot straight, which may account for people getting a bit tired of yet another cute kid shot. In your case, your shooting down adds veracity, but also complicity to her smile.
