Photographer’s Note
When I first looked through this set of photos in 2002, this wasn't one that particularly caught my attention. Now with my TE perspective, I rather prefer it. It says a lot about life in Havana. The natural colourblind socialising in the street. The buildings, and the fact that there are other interesting cars there than just pre '59 US ones. French and Italian and other European imports continued through the '60s and, of many interesting Soviet examples which still survive.

hi richard, this one i like - nice street cuban scene; it is not easy to find those wehicles in the uk, i'd guess, but there in cuba they must be pretty common, am i right?
i like the kind of nostalgic colours of this image;

What a stramge car!!
And I like the atmosphera in this pic, around the car there are people resting and talking each other, it is Cuba, but it could be also somewhere in Italy!

HI Richard,
I stepped in for the car, I have never seen something like this be it french italian or soviet, but it does have something evocating Moskvitch and Fiat, also its color is excellent and helps it stand out. Framing is right too leaving it place and showing the street life going on.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hello Richard,
you opened something like a windoe to the past - the car nearly looks like a BMW Isetta (the bigger one with 500ccm). The scan costs sharpness, what a pity!

Great street life shot - and the car looks like a stretched 'bubble' car!

Hi Richard, very nice streetscen, nice to read how TE influences us all. The tiny car dominates the scene, and it is as if you step back into the fifties. I like the car, the picture reminds me of a scooter that Ishai once uploaded,

That car is just too funny and is a terrific focal point in this composition! A lovely street scene.

Hi Richard, lovely Cuban capture, indeed of a vintage Beemer Isetta. You lost some definition but this doesn't interfere with me enjoying this one hugely due to the scene being so laid back and the way you framed it.
Have a nice weekend,
Bert
