Photographer's Note

Guanabo is a town in the Ciudad de la Habana Province of Cuba. It is located within the municipality of Habana del Este halfway between the centre of Havana and Santa Cruz del Norte, at the mouth of the Guanabo River, between the Atlantic Ocean coast and the Sierra del Canchón (mountain range).
Guanabo is a seaside touristic town, with small scale villas and a few low rise hotels.
The town was founded in 1800. In 1827 it was the place where the Peñas Altas uprising was crushed by troops from Havana (Peñas Altas is a neighbourhood east of Guanabo).

LA STRADA PER IL PARADISO

Guanabo è una piccola città costiera nella provincia dell'Havana. Si trova all'interno del comune di Habana del Este a metà strada tra il centro de L'Avana e Santa Cruz del Norte, alla foce del fiume Guanabo, tra l'Oceano Atlantico costa e la Sierra del Canchón (catena montuosa).
Guanabo è una città turistico balneare, con ville di piccole dimensioni e alcuni alberghi.
La città fu fondata nel 1800. Nel 1827 era il luogo dove è stato soppressa la rivolta Peñas Altas da parte delle truppe da L'Avana (Peñas Altas è un quartiere ad est di Guanabo).

quanto vorrei essere su quel piccolo sentiero che porta al mare.....
Splendidi i colori come sempre di queste riprese con le palme a margine a creare un'ottima inquadratura.
Mare sullo sfondo di una fantastica colorazione.

J'adore les palmiers . Avec cette verdure , cette mer et ce ciel bleu , et ce petit chemin qui mène vers la plage , cela fait une composition bien attrayante .

Looks wonderful! Could be mistaken for the Philippines. Certainly a nicer spot in Cuba than Guantánamo! Good repetition of the coconut palms with superb sharpness, graphism & color. Tfs!

Una bella cartolina di questo luogo incantevole. Mi piace molto il grafismo degli alberi. I colori sono stupendi, límmagine molto nitida e quel mare....mi ha dato la voglia di nuotare, anche se sono le 22:00 di sera.

un tempo mi bastava affacciarmi dal balcone per vedere le palme.
Oggi il dannato punteruolo rosso le ha uccise tutte, quindi mi godo queste :))
Bellissima la composizione che trasmette una bella sensazione di pace.
Praticamente in base a dove vai, tu hai l'estate 12 mesi l'anno.

A road to paradise indeed! What a beautiful place to relax and enjoy sunshine, warmth and peace and quiet.

Gorgeous colours, perfect composition with the narrow path leading to the blue-green ocean amidst tall palm trees. And a lovely open blue sky with barely a cloud in sight.

Ah, indeed, Luciano, this is what I expected from Cuba, lush vegetation, tall waving palm trees and an clear aqua sea. You are now showing us the touristy side of the island so that we have a complete picture of what is there.
It is a sharp, well composed shot, with the interest of shadows from hidden trees and fine colour saturation.

E' una foto bellissima. Perfetta e classica, da cartolina. Uno ci scrive dietro: " Saluti e baci da Cuba". Ma sai bene che da un bel po' di anni io non amo più Cuba. Così, se vuoi scovare un altro paradiso incontaminato, vai a Cedar Key. Isolotto della Florida. E' un luogo incantevole, ci vive un mio amico pittore, un greco che non é scemo. Qualche volta, ascolta i miei consigli, Luciano...

il mare che si intravede è spettacolare, molta gente mi ha detto che il mare a Cuba non è un gran che...ma dalle tue foto mi sembra esattamente il contrario, sfumature dal verde smeraldo al blu cobalto...ottima la scelta del POV e una bella composizone, con le palme e l'altra vegetazione, bello anche il contrasto tra i colori e la luce...una cartolina...

Le chemin envoie mon regard vers l'océan ce qui donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs des palmiers et de l'océan. La qualité de la lumière met en valeur la beauté des couleurs. Bonne soirée.

The group of palm trees is nicely asymmetric in the frame. The motif of the road adds a nice aspect here.

un título muy adecuado para esta foto. La imagen que nos ofreces en este buen encuadre podría ser perfectamente un trozo del paraíso, y este camino nos lleva directamente hacia la preciosa playa y hacia el mar color turquesa, con una elegante perspectiva al lado de las esbeltas palmeras.
Excelente calidad de imagen y de colores, y una luz impresionante.
Es un bello lugar, y es una bella foto.

At first I thought that the name Guanabo sounded so familiar. But I was wrong with Guantánamo :(
The blue water, the green coastline and the hugs palmtrees providing small spots of shade, it all looks so paradisiacal.
