One of a series of sunrise photoes taken at the Vale of Vinales. This one was about 5 minutes before sunrise. No filters were used at this stage whilst the colours were changing continuously. Then when the sky gradually turned blue I did then add a polariser.

I'd be very pleased with this shot.
Beautifull sunrise, well composed and exposed; It looks a bit grainy, perhaps that is deliberate?
what more can you do?

beautiful colors Colin. i like the dark foreground merging into shades of orange. a little low on quality; but that's no problem at all.

Despite the imperfections I like this photo. The scan could have been better, it's quite grainy, but the different layers and the colours make this photo interesting.
The dark foreground is a bit too big for my taste and therefore I did a workshop to trim that area a bit.

If this is hell, can I please go ther ? ;-)
Very nice and warm picture, which is more or less the style often used in old oriental paintings.
Pity about the vignetting in the top corners.
Good one Colin

This is a special picture worth a "3 points-Smiley" .. The successive levels of the landscape are superb. No critics, only praises. Congratulations ..

Great photo Colin!
Fantastic depth with the layers of mist in each valley, stretching back. Lovely orange glow to everything. Great composition. Well done!

Colin, you are improving on your already high standards. The colours, the layers, the sihouettes are all fantastic in this shot. I'd prefer a smoother finish to the image rather than the grainy effect. Have you tried NeatImage? I'll post a workshop just so you can see what it can do and you can decide which you like best.

Amazing how the colors have changed in a short period of time! All my comments about your other image taken here apply. I would like to see it a little later too, with less fog and more of the layers of the mountain range. Good shot

Splendid ! It really worth it to get up early and enjoy nature's gift at sunrise :)
The composition is excellent, it looks like a japanese painting, with soft colors.
