Photographer’s Note

When having a catamaran tour around Cayo Largo Island in Cuba we made a stop at a place named "La Piscina" a shallow water area surrounded by sand. It looks like we were in a pool in the middle of the ocean! Very impressive and funny! At this place we found dozen of starfish like this one. I take this shot leaving the starfish in is natural environment under water to preserve his condition.
Unfortunately a droplet falls when I took this shot!

Superbes couleur, l'etoile de mer se détache bien du fond de sable blanc et je la trouve tres bien disposée dans l'image. C'est effectivement dommage pour la goutelete.

Très joli. J'aime particulièrement la goutellette qui tombe. Elle crée un effet visuel intéressant en plus de nous montrer que cette étoile est bien submergée. Bravo Stéphane.

Je trouve cette étoile vraiment superbe, le fond de l'eau est très clair, c'est parfait! Moi aussi j'aime bien la goutte d'eau, on voit bien que l'étoile est dans l'eau, sinon, je ne l'aurais pas su. On dirait que l'étoile dors sur un oreiller moelleux :)

I am just amazed! Everything is perfect about this shot. Dont be sorry for the droplet. I think this was a must for this shot. Let me explain plz, your shot is so perfect, its clarity level is so high that without this droplet nobody can realize that there is water!!
