Photographer’s Note

Town Hall of Cienfuego.

Cienfuego is built on an inland harbor connected to the Caribbean by a long channel. The outer shore alternates between rocky promontories and white sand beaches. Off shore from the beaches you can snorkel and swim out to reefs. A fort to protect the city from pirates guards the channel to Cienfuego.

Ciao Achim! A nice postcard of a beautiful building. The light is almost perfect and so the colors. You were lucky to find two cars perfectly matching the colors of the building and the dome... but the choice of including them in you POV is all to your credit!

I never been in Cinfuegos ... but I've been in Havana wich has some of the most beutifull architure I've seen ... like this town hall.

The photo is very good, good light and colours, too bad the relatively new cars...

Now this is a place that I've actually been to, and I think your photo really captures the look and feel very well. The clean lines of the totally restored buildings in Cienfuegos are a real joy to look at, especially after seeing so many run down buildings in other towns. Nice work!

Hi John,
Absolutely no signs of worn out facades and cars that would be kept going with pure magic of local technicians. This is perfectly renovated and looks really good. And cars look new, even Ladas shine. Did you borrow this from local tourismn office? :)
Exposure is good even with the building in shadow.

eigentlich ein Bild, das ziemlich deutlich von den gewöhnlichen Vorstellungen über Kuba abweicht. Hier ist alles gut erhalten, gepflegt und sauber. Es könnte eine gute Werbung sein!
