To my cuban sister Eloisa Leyva
The sweet island of the "Antillas Mayores" or best known as " The Antillas Pearl " or "The key of the Mexico Gulf " had developed from many centuries of the spanish colony, the culture of the sugar cane, brought from the India and which adapted to the ardent sun and the music of the black slaves for together doing a nation, a culture and a very particular history.

La dulce isla de las Antillas Mayores o mejor conocida como "La Perla" o "La llave del golfo de México" desarrolló desde los tiempos de la colonia española el cultivo de la caña de azúcar, traída desde la India estos dulces cáñamos de adaptaron al ardiente sol y la música de los negros esclavos para juntos hacer una nación, una cultura y una historia muy particular.

Esa perspectiva también me habla de futuro para esa cultura e historia tan particular como la cubana. Fui en 1996 y dije que volvería, aun no lo he hecho, pero tu magnífica foto me estimula a regresar. Algún día con un poco de suerte.

Hola Rafael,
Diagonal larguísima y profunda de esta carretera que nos lleva quién sabe dónde, más allá del horizonte.
Los verdes campos de caña de azúcar a ambos lados, y el cielo con algunas nubes, que te dan una zona de sombra en el primer plano, forman una agradable y bonita composición.
Buena luz, definición y colores.

Hey Rafael,

Nice shot. I'm not sure if the dark foreground works here; I know it's because of cloud cover, but it gives it a look of being underexposed.. Otherwise the clouds look great and I love the color of the sky. Thanks for the informative note.

Como sus otras críticas nota, usted demuestran la belleza pacífica del país bien. Leí con gran interés su nueva introducción. El elegir salir de su hogar detrás es muy difícil; pero que es enviada a un lugar, no de su elegir, como un esclavo, es una motivación fuerte. Pienso que Cuba es un lugar muy único; que su aislamiento ha permitido que siga siendo unspoiled.

As your other critiques note, you show the peaceful beauty of the country well. I read with great interest your new introduction. Choosing to leave one's home behind is very difficult; but being sent to a place, not of your choosing, like a slave, is a strong motivation. I think Cuba is a very unique place; that its isolation has allowed it to remain unspoiled.

I like this shot Rafael...the clouds are wonderful floating like cotton...the wonderful diagonal perspective of the road in shadow & the lit part peeping out in the far end provides amazing depth & a wonderful visual feat
