Photographer’s Note
A sugarcane farmer in the area of Ciego de Avila. I met him having a drink at one of the roadside spots where locals sells Guarapo, the sugarcane drink, a drink which gives men more potention btw ;)
Cuba has not much sugarcane plantations left anymore ... that will say, not as much as they used to have. Three years ago Cuba closed alot of sugar factories because of the lack of oil.

Hallo Anja,
Wat een schitterende foto, en wat vreemd dat ik de eerste ben die hier op reargeer. Het gouden zonlicht straalt over de hele foto. De blik en gelaatstrekken van de man, fantastisch. Voor mij zijn dit dé portretten. Hier spreekt zo ontzettend veel uit, prachtig werk..welgemeend..!!!
