The ghost in Camagüey Photo

Photographer’s Note

To appear as a ghost in a picture one has to be present in the picture area for about half of the exposure time. When I was taking this picture in Camagüey during the night long exposure time around 15 to 20 seconds was used. I pressed the shutter after a while a man on a cycle come into the picture from the right he was in the picture area for about half of the exposure time. This is the reason for the name of picture; "The ghost in Camagüey"!

I consider this image very good and interesting; Excellent composition! The people sitting at the houses look so real... and a "ghost" bicycle rider seems to be appearing our of nowhere! Excellent idea. Very good effect;)
I like the colour gamma of the photo (especially yellow and blue colours) and the perspectve view, with the curve of the road.
imho, this photo has a mood, which is very important.

I like the perspective here, accentuated by the presence of the 2 guys sitting. Good color shades and blur due to the exposure time, and of course, the "ghost" biker. Mucho atmosphere.

a typical scene, in the best and darkest part of the blue hour.
the blue colour of the TV at the right is perfectly fitting to the sky :)

A splendid mood Jan Olof. Everything concurs here to make this a great photography, the color gamma so subtle with interesting touches of green, the perspective...wide empty space, the sitting men, each of them alone...the ghost. One of the best I've seen of Cuba. Would deserve much more attention.
