Photographer’s Note
This is a common sight as sugar cane is one of Cuba's main commodities. Here you can see the cane being mechanically cut, and the cane separated into the truck. The raw cane is then transferred to refineries where various cane products are produced. Egrets patrol the newly exposed boundary which provides plenty of insects that have just been exposed.
The dark clouds provided good contrast to the subject which was sunlit. Hopefully you can just see the heat haze!

Hello Martin:
I like this simple picture. Soil, cane, and the sky (with clouds) compose mainly the scenery. Interesting to see a very old truck being used to harvest the sugar cane. It is full of it and still can move!
The egrets seem not to be disturbed by the harvest at all. They are just at their business.
Regards,
Jürgen
