Photographer’s Note
When I first spotted it on the white fridge in our 10$ a night hotel room, I thought it was one of those little magnets for holding notes. Just that the level of detail was too much for such gadget. I have no idea what species it was and if was a young or an adult, maybe a baby gecko? By far the smallest reptile I’ve ever seen. Some help with the identification would be appreciated. I wouldn’t say it was tame, but in the same time it seemed to like the warmth of my hand.

Hola Roland: I have seen some but as this baby I had not seen before, sincerely this type of reptiles is not my favorite ones, however, here in Tabasco, Mexico is very common, I can tell you that every day I see at least 1, but among farther for my it is better. I like your picture, the details of this animalito are very special, mainly its color supposes that it can also change to a clearer color, I have seen some that darken and later they change to a clear color, I like the drawing species on its body and line, it is interesting. I like the blue bottom a lot with white and the contrast with color of your hand, is interesting to compare your fingers with those of this small creature. Finally a beautiful composition. Cordial greetings. *Ninfa Urania *

How funny, I just have to comment! I was looking at a tiny gecko (about this same size) on the wall here in my office while I browsed this site. Then I turned to the screen and this image popped up. Those little geckos are very common here in Hawaii. I don't know the official name of them, but we refer to them as a "common house gecko" as they are everywhere. They are also a sign of good luck in Hawaii.
