This is in the nation parc Manuel Antonio.
The photo shows us te place where the "turtle trap" must be situated. Is is believed that pre-columbian Indians arranged rocks in a way so that is could be used as a trap to turtles.
Turtles would swim in at high tide, but when they tried to swim out after the tide started reciding, they'd be trapped by the wall.
This spot is at the third beach, or Playa Manuel Antonio, near to the peninsula Punta Catedral.
Unfortunately for us there was no sun this day. But it is still a very nice place. |
