Photographer’s Note

Place where the exuberance, the vegetation and a water fall of 110 meters of height it fill to one of peace and joy. It is the " Cataract Toro Amarillo ", located in the community of Bajos del Toro. If you want to come up to the foot, you will have to lower 510 steps, then you will have contact with the water and even you wish it is possible to bathe in a puddle where it falls the jet. To go down and to rise is an exercise that tests the resistance, but a sorrow is worth doing it. The " Cataract Yoro Amarillo " it has on the one side of frame to the National Park Juan Castro Blanco and of back the Park Volcano Poás. Here it is possible to enjoy a fresh climate in a place which altitude is about 1500 meters on the level of the sea.
It is an ideal place to ponder and to estimate the God's greatness, reflected in this natural marvel. From the viewing-points can be observed enormous trees, plants and bindweeds that populate the forest wherefrom the water jet comes.

Lugar donde la exuberancia, la vegetación y una caída de agua de 110 metros de altura lo llenan a uno de paz y regocijo. Es la "Catarata Toro Amarillo", ubicada en la comunidad de Los Bajos del Toro de Grecia.Si desea llegar hasta el pie, deberá bajar 510 escalones, entonces tendrás contacto con el agua e incluso si desea se puede bañar en una poza donde cae el chorro. Bajar y subir es un ejercicio que pone a prueba la resistencia, pero vale la pena hacerlo.
La "Catarata Toro Amarillo" tiene por un lado de marco al Parque Nacional Juan Castro Blanco y de espalda el Parque Volcán Poás. Aquí se puede disfrutar de un clima fresco en un lugar cuya altitud ronda los 1500 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
Es un lugar ideal para meditar y apreciar la grandeza de Dios, reflejada en esta maravilla natural. Desde los miradores se pueden observar enormes árboles, plantas y bejucos que pueblan el bosque de donde proviene el chorro de agua.

Muy bonita composición, y muy bonita catarata. Los colores también estan excelentes. Me gustaría ver la vista de las pozas...

Hi Rafael, A well composed picture to show the beautiful and colorful environment where the waterfall is located. A nice color contrast with the red rock, and green plants surrounding the impressive water fall. Nice PoV.

Beautiful composition; from your point of view you were able to capture the full length of the waterfall. You have such excellent depth of field I like I might fall in. Your focus gives you good detail throughout and the colors are amazing. Well done,

Really nice, Rafael, like each one of your pictures of Costa Rica. But this one is also spectacular and very well composed, with the waterfall ending in the foreground vegetation. What a moment of rest it must be to be there, watching that spectacle of nature !

Very nicely done...although I think that the branches on the fern in the foreground are distracting for the rest of the picture.

I wonder if a tripod would have helped the sharpness. Were you using a zoom lens by any chance?
