Photographer’s Note

Boys play; a girl is left out. Of course, it might be by her choice. Regardless, it is but one moment frozen from the daily lives of kids everywhere.

This is from the town of La Fortuna, near Arenal volcano. Most of the town is more prosperous than this, due in part to the steady flow of tourists. As is typical in a tourism economy, the spoils are shared far from equally.

a nice rendition in bw. makes the shoot moody....the patterns more pronounced. the line also makes the pic easy to look at.

The pic is beautiful.The children are playing in their own mood, the diagonal road,the little girl on the further side ...make it a perfect.

Hello Ken, a sensitive image portraying a daily life scene. Good composition with the sidewalk in diagonal. I really like the girl in an immaculate white dress down there, while the boys just go on playing with dirt. Boys will be boys and girls will be girls...

indeed a beautiful daily life capture Ken! I like the diagonal of the sidewalk and as the girl is left out (it seems), she is at the end of it looking somewhere else. Well taken and presented. Nice work!
