Good DOF and an interesting idea here. The fact that the bird is on the pole quite far away from the background makes it a striking shot. The fact that you've placed it in the center of the fame makes adds a 'small bird in a big world' theme. A few nitpicks though, it could be sharper and there are some blown out areas. I'll try a workshop for you.
