Volcan Arenal and cloud Photo

Photographer’s Note

Shot from the grounds of the Arenal Observatory Lodge. This volcano creates its own local weather and often it is hidden from view, so it is a nice treat to see it from bottom to top. I like the visual weight of the ephemeral cloud above the lively mass of the volcano's cone.

For this reposted photo, I have responded to Jacque's critique by using the full allowed capacity on TE. I also sharpened the image, using the Apple iPhoto program.

This is wonderful scenery and a skillfully captured landscape. DOF, light and colors are fantastic. The contrast between the forest, the volcano and the sky is very nice and your note as well.

Vraiment magnifique cette photo du volcan Arenal bien présenté avec ce merveilleux ciel. J'ai eu moins de chance quand je suis allé le visiter, le temps était plutôt nuageux et le haut du volcan était recouvert. Bonne composition et superbes couleurs, un photo qui me rappelle de bons souvenirs.
