Photographer’s Note

Crooked Tree Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary lies about 50km north of Belize City. The lagoon is approximately 17,000 ha (41,000 acres) and is primarily set aside to protect the wetlands and the vast numbers of waterbirds that visit the area from January to April. The small settlement of Crooked Tree has a population of 600 and caters for a small tourist trade that come to vistit the lagoon for its diverse birdlife.

Excellent way to capture reflection in this photo. It almost feels like the earth is pressed between the water and the sky. Really well done!

Wish there were a few rain drops falling too....annd then the shot would had sent me to ecstasy.
Still sitting before the monitor with all my sesnes enjoying this beauty,I wonder how the clouds made such a low level flight.
The only complaint here is................I rivted mine eyes to the shot and remain glued to the screen for at least 5 minutes.......couldn't see a single waterbird.

A most attrctive setting here Chris and as you say some of the same impression as from my lake in the Norwegian mountains.
I like the very soft reflection in the water here. Nice work.
