Photographer’s Note
I'm pretty sure this is a Great Egret. I looked it up at enature.com and this was the closest match. I was sitting by the Macal River just outside of San Ignacio, reading a book and minding my own business when GE here just swooped in and started fishing. We didn't bother each other so he wasn't too put off by my presence.

Really nice. Not only the bird but the play of light in the water too.
I would add a little contrast and shapening to make the egret come out even better. I tried a WS.

good shot. i would have moved the bird (subject) to the left getting a nice jungle background in the shot.
