The area of San Pedro in Caye Ambergris is filled with docks, some of which have huts, bars or restaurants at the end. Right in front of this dock, 5 sail boats were sitting almost equidistant to each other and all facing out to sea. I liked the frame of the hut as a window to the ocean and the boats all "looking" in the same direction.
I was torn between the original and a cropped version which give more emphasis on the framing. The cropped version I will include as a workshop.
It is not very evident in the picture but one can see the crests of waves on the horizon. That is because the second largest barrier reef if the world runs just off the coast of Belize (and the Yucatan Peninsula for that matter). The waves that come from the deep sea, are blocked by the reef and the water between the reef and the shore is very calm and great to swim in.
